LETTER FROM THE
BOARD CHAIR
Time has a remarkable way of moving both quickly and slowly. As we mark the close of another year, we reflect on how
many of the hopes and dreams once discussed around our board table have taken meaningful shape. As Chair of the
Board, I could not be more proud to stand alongside a team of dedicated board and staff members whose commitment
continues to position our organization as a leading model in responding to homelessness with dignity and respect.
Over the past year, we have made significant gains across every area of our organization. One of our proudest milestones
was receiving the NOVO Award for Innovation at the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce awards in the fall. This was
a recognition of the launch of CP Works, our transformative job bridge program designed to create real pathways to
employment stability and independence.
We also reimagined and reconstructed our lobby space through a trauma-informed design lens, ensuring it is both
welcoming and healing, while creating space for our new Innovation Lab—an investment in ideas that will shape the future
of our work.
This year also marked the launch of our LIVE Program, a deeply personal and forward-thinking initiative led by our high
school youth leaders. LIVE represents our commitment to growing leadership, fostering service, and ensuring that the next
generation plays an active role in advancing our mission.
As we close this chapter, we are also preparing to wrap up 30 years of service and impact in our community. For three
decades, this organization has worked tirelessly to respond to homelessness with respect, innovation, and care meeting
people where they are while advocating for lasting solutions.
Everyone deserves a place to call home. I am incredibly proud of this past page in our history and even more inspired by
the new chapter we are writing together with our community, donors, supporters, volunteers, and staff. Thank you for
believing in this mission and for walking beside us as we continue to build a more just and compassionate future.
