THE MIAMI-DADE COUNTY HOMELESS
TRUST SPRINT FOR SENIORS
The Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust held its first
“Sprint for Seniors” Bed Race in the fall to support
homeless seniors. Proceeds helped provide essential
items like bedding and household goods. One in three
people experiencing homelessness are senior citizens,
so the Homeless Trust and Chapman Partnership are in
a race to get seniors housed. When housed, they need
support accessing essentials like household items—
pillows, sheets, lightbulbs, etc.
